Javier Rodriguez

Javier has been the CFO of M Ventures since the inception of the Electronics, Frontier Tech & Sustainability and Life Science funds in 2016. He has been instrumental in increasing the fund from its €150m Healthcare-only allocation to its diversified €600m size and building the portfolio from 25 to its current state of more than 100 companies. As an integral part of the M Ventures leadership team he has had an active role in structuring each and every M Ventures investment across both tech and biotech for the last decade. Javier joined Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in 2015 in Corporate Controlling where he was responsible in monitoring Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany's company-wide post M&A integration and transformation programs including the AZ Electronics integration. Prior to taking this role, Javier held several roles of increasing responsibility across Europe, USA and Asia in the specialty chemicals sector within ICI Plc and Givaudan. He holds a Master’s in corporate finance and controlling from Maastricht University and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Davidson College, USA. Javier is based in Darmstadt.
