Emma Johnson

Emma Johnson, MSc, joined M-Ventures in 2026 as a Senior Principal in the Biotechnology team with 8 years of investment experience across two UK-based VC funds. Most recently, Emma spent 4.5 years leading direct investments in the healthcare and life sciences sectors for the British Business Bank where she led 11 financing rounds for companies at Series A to Series C including NRG Therapeutics, Grey Wolf Therapeutics, Purespring Therapeutics and Tenpoint Therapeutics. Emma held Board of Director and Board Observer seats for several biotech companies working on programs at discovery stage through to the recent (Jan 2026) approval for Yuvezzi®. Emma is also an advocate for diversity in venture capital and a co-founder of Invest In Equity, a community of female investors providing professional development resources, events, and peer networks. Emma has a MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University College London and a BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Bristol. Emma is based in Amsterdam.
